Love messages: Creations and Obsessions Galore!

I have a couple of big posts in the making, but a few things to share:
1. Today is my person's (Angelo) birthday!!! We had a wonderful day together (post to come!) And, he loved all of the gifts I got him! I made him this card. It is a papercut that I am somewhat happy about. Close-ups show how I still have a lot of practicing to do, but it was kind of an impulse project.
Here is the top layer with original sketch and yes, my blood!!
Here is a close-up of the top part, representing my head being in the clouds!
And here is Animal propping up the card while I played with lighting. (Definitely not my forte!)
2. And since he was already posing, I decided to shoot some pics of one of my favorite items ever! This doll was won 7 years ago at Seaside Heights. It took forever and bribery to get him!! He (and cheese steaks) were my missions, and I came out a winner!
This last one looks like a Calvin Klein ad!! Haha.
3. This photo shoot led to my taking some shots of other favorites. Here is another vintage find of mine from Ira's Curiosity Shoppe!! He was $2 and I love his little winky eye!
A glimpse at my WIP Inspiration Board!
4. My latest obsession: COPIC MARKERS

After an amazing trip to Peddler's Village in PA (again, to be blogged!), and stumbling upon the super treasure Creative Inkling, I was introduced to the wonder that is COPIC !! These markers do not bleed, they use a special alcohol ink that blend magically without the annoying marker lines. I cannot wait to share some work!! I have been desiring of markers like these for so long!! I bought three flesh-like colors and black and dabbled a bit on scraps! WOW! Wow. wow...

5. This awesomeness:

What can I say?! Good things! To finding unexpected joy everywhere and always!

  1. Wow. I'm so lucky to have three posts to read today! Yay! I always look forward to hearing what you are up to...and it always brings me energy and inspiration. Thank you for that!
So much to say, but I'll keep it short(ish). When I caught the close-up of the papercut you did for Ange...I cried. If I look at it too long, I'll cry the way I haven't cried in a while.
    You amaze me, Jenn.
I'm happy you had a good day together. That's wonderful.
    xoxo
