a visual tour...Downtown NYC...

Prologue :
1. Sometimes I don't mind looking like a tourist to photograph the hidden beauty in our city, though I tend to be discreet-- like taking silent snapshots of inspiration everywhere I go..a challenge in finding things that interest me or spark something...

2. I don't normally title my photos in any artistic way-- partially because I don't really consider myself a photographer as much as I am just some one who takes pictures...but I do like stories, and sometimes they can be told in very little words...hope you like my little visual journey wandering around New York with my lovely Patti (and later sweet Pam)...

Paradox
(loved looking up and seeing this ornate and classic building juxtaposed with the modern...construction, advertisements...change happening everywhere and this building is testimony.)

Look Up...
...this building is so rich in color and aesthetically inspiring, and when you look closer...
And speaking of looking closer....Take a Peek...
As a New Yorker I am accustomed to construction everywhere at all times-- which means scaffolding, makeshift sidewalks, and wooden wall diversions from glimpses into another side of the city...

My favorite little corner vortex...
with the skinniest 'building' I have ever seen...
The "Road-bot"
--be careful of incoming traffic while looking down to find these critters roaming around downtown!

There are signs everywhere you look:
And when you look very close, you realize there is so much more...
To a beautiful day roaming around finding more beauty...

Beside the adorable tiny robot, I personally like the obviously British little girl. She seems so proper in a I'm going to eat your brains if you cross me type of way.
